NHS dental treatment includes all treatment necessary to secure and maintain your oral health. We also provide a full range of private treatment options for patients who choose to have treatment that is not available on the NHS – for example large white fillings in back teeth or cosmetic treatment such as tooth whitening.
NHS dental charges:
Band 1 course of treatment – £22.70 This covers examinations, diagnosis (including radiographs), advice on how to prevent future problems, scale and polish if clinically necessary, and preventative care (for example, applications of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant).
Urgent dental treatment – £22.70 This band covers emergency care, such as pain relief or a temporary filling, in a primary care dental practice. Find out more about
Band 2 course of treatment – £62.10 This covers everything listed in Band 1, plus any further treatment, such as fillings, root canal work, or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth.
Band 3 course of treatment – £269.30 This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures, bridges, and other laboratory work.
Your dentist will advise you of the cost of any private treatment.
Referrals We can also refer you to another dentist if you require specialist treatment involving sedation, orthodontics or a home visit. Your dental records and personal information will remain confidential and secure at all times
